INDIANAPOLIS — A man who was shot Saturday on the northwest side of Indianapolis has died, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, police were called to the 5200 block of Pinebrook Drive in response to a person shot.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. IEMS took the man to the hospital in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released the man’s identity.
