Welcome to our cozy retreat. With an expansive living room and huge back porch, you can’t help but feel relaxed and unwind. Take in the nature views, curl up with a book on one of the cozy couches or cook a meal in the large kitchen. Play a game of pool or challenge each other on the arcade game. Beautiful Lake Monroe is just around the corner. Fairfax State Recreation Area offers a beach and you could even rent a boat for a day. IU and downtown Bloomington are just 9 mi away. The space Your health and safety are important to us, especially in this time. With this in mind, have expanded our already thorough cleaning routine. After everything has been cleaned and prepared for you, touch surfaces receive a final disinfection before we leave, including switches, door handles, etc. As always, linens and towels are bleached between guests. We recently finished renovating this house to add more bedrooms and bathrooms for you to enjoy! The work is now complete. The expansive covered back porch provides ample space to hang out, children’s swings, cornhole (beanbag) set and an outdoor dining table if you choose to enjoy a meal outside. We also have a fire pit where you can enjoy a campfire during your stay. The large living room provides a pool table, arcade and board games and a large screen TV with Hulu and super fast fiber optic WiFi internet. The kitchen includes all of the pots, pans, tableware and silverware you will need. There is a mixer, toaster, tea kettle and coffee maker. We have stocked coffee, tea, and various kitchen staples including spices, oil, salt/pepper, etc. if you plan to cook your own meals, although we highly recommend you check out Bloomington’s renown local eateries. We have also created a special house manual in which we provide our personal recommendations for our favorite restaurants, local attractions, hiking areas, etc. Four bedrooms give plenty of sleeping options and all bedding is provided. There is also a single rollaway bed in one of the bedrooms, a small futon couch in another and a full futon in another. The master bedroom has a separate entrance and a luxurious newly remodeled private bathroom with a freestanding tub and 9ft tile shower, as well as a sitting area and TV. ALL GUESTS AND VISITORS must be included on reservation, as there is an additional $25 charge per person beyond the first 8 in the home. All visitors, even those who just come for lunch, etc, will be charged as extra guests and must be included in reservation. Please be aware we have outdoor security cameras which are capable of recording video and sound. While we do allow children, the house is not child-proofed. There are some breakable objects on lower shelves and the furniture and television are not secured to walls and could be a safety hazard, so please watch children carefully. In the center of the condo is an open living, dining, and kitchen space with access to the amazing deck and bay views. The living area has a sleeper sofa and an ornamental fireplace. The open kitchen is well equipped and features a coffee bar to get you started with a morning cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The unit has 2 satellite TVs (one in the master bedroom and one in the living room) and free Wi-Fi internet access. The spacious deck offers ample seating for lounging and dining and a cozy porch swing. An electric grill is provided for outdoor dining experiences. (Charcoal and gas grills are prohibited). Vehicle parking is available close to the condo entrance. The interior of the condo is on one level, but you will need to go down and up a few steps to get from the parking lot to the condo door. The condo is equipped with a keyless entry, you will be provided with a code. Please Note: Although Eagle View Condo has a beautiful view of Eagle Bay on Lake Monroe, there is no boat access or swimming to the lake from the property. In addition, boat, trailer, and RV parking in prohibited anywhere on the Eagle Pointe Resort property. If you are bringing your own boat or camper you will need to make your own arrangements for parking these vehicles off site. Perhaps the Fairfax Marina, just a short jaunt down the road, could be the place.

The inside communal spaces are built to invite conversation and relaxation with plenty of comfy places to sit, books to read, and a large dinner table for gathering. The outside fire pit or the front porch swing is a favorite place to sit and watch the sky. The library consists of contemporary novels and photographic monographs that you could spend an afternoon flipping through. Each bedroom is spacious, private, and outfitted with luxe bedding, lots of pillows, and has at least one window. A cursive typewriter sits in the front bedroom. Built-in shelves provide lots of bedtime reading options. Ceiling fans keep the air moving. Please note that one bedroom has a lofted bed. You can access the bed from stairs, but it is a little funky to manage. It is not an area for children or boozers to sleep upon.
